When Sotheby’s came to Siteworx looking to translate their desktop site to a mobile experience I was put on as the lead designer. Well, actually I was pretty much the whole design team. I went up to NYC with the project manager and collected all the information I could gather from the Sotheby’s team in one day and came back to Virginia to design. I worked up the IA and prioritization of the content that would be brought over to the mobile experience. After working with the client to finalize the content I worked up the wireframes and page templates. Once we were all clear on the content, templates, and layout approach I began into the task of translating Sotheby’s visual brand to the mobile form factor.
